(Santa Monica, CA) — Six-time Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum recording artists The Black Eyes Peas have announced that they will release a brand-new album, entitled The Beginning, on November 30^th, 2010, on Interscope Records.

The Black Eyed Peas’ sixth album, The Beginning is the follow-up to the group’s blockbuster cd The E.N.D. Released in June 2009, The E.N.D. has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide, while spending 52 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart. It is also the first album in two decades by a duo or group to yield five Top 10 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, including the No. 1 hits “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling” (which is the best-selling digital song in SoundScan history), and “Imma Be,” as well as the Top 10’s “Meet Me Halfway” and “Rock That Body.” In addition, The E.N.D. was nominated for six 2010 Grammy Awards and won for Best Pop Vocal Album, “Boom Boom Pow” won Best Short Form Music Video and “I Gotta Feeling” won for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.

While the title of The E.N.D. was a play on words (standing for “The Energy Never Dies”), the new album’s title, The Beginning, “refers to what is actually happening in the world right now,” says will.i.am. “The Beginning is symbolic of adopting new technologies, such as augmented reality, 3D, and 360 video. It’s also about being experimental and taking songs we’ve liked from the past and playing around with sick, crazy beats.”

In keeping with that manifesto, the first single from The Beginning is “The Time (The Dirty Bit),” which is built around a sample from the classic 1987 theme from Dirty Dancing, (“I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. “The song is a celebration of this amazing time in our lives,” says vocalist Fergie. “We’ve been on tour all over the world, and looking out at stadiums full of people who came out to see us — that’s as big as it gets. After the shows, we go out to the clubs and meet the fans; those are moments that we have to remember.” “Plus the fact that we get to experience it with each other,” adds vocalist apl.de.ap, “that’s the best feeling ever.”

“You never know what’s going to happen, so you want to make the best of every day,” says will.i.am. “We wanted to capture that feeling and release a song that celebrates with the fans because it wouldn’t have happened without them.” This album is the beginning of a new era of Pea world domination -- fasten your seat belts pea-ple enjoy the ride, declares Taboo.

The Black Eyed Peas have shot a video for “The Time (The Dirty Bit),” with director Rich Lee, who also lensed the Peas' “Imma Be Rocking That Body” video, as well as clips for Eminem (“Not Afraid”), The All-American Rejects (“The Wind Blows”), Fergie (“Clumsy”), and the Pussycat Dolls (“Hush Hush”).

The Beginning will be released in several physical formats – a standard CD, a deluxe CD that includes 3 bonus songs, a full album vinyl and a combo two-disc set of 20 songs that includes The Beginning & The Best of THE E.N.D. – and digitally at all online retailers.

The Black Eyed Peas are currently on the road on their Blackberry Presents “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010,” which culminates this fall with shows in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru after extensive North American and European legs over the past year. The New York Times described the tour as “pop’s latest sci-fi spectacle,” while Spin.com raved “they push the boundaries of what it means to be one of the top-selling acts in music today” and the New York Post declares a “visually stunning production.”

The E.N.D. was The Black Eyed Peas first original music since 2005’s Monkey Business, which was certified triple platinum in the U.S., with worldwide sales of more than nine million. Three-time Grammy Award winning recording artist, The Black Eyed Peas announced today that Ludacris will be joining opening act LMFAO on their highly anticipated world tour. Youth Run to Benefit Haitian Earthquake Relief

On Saturday, January 23, 2010, thousands of LA youth will rally as one to run and to show an amazing demonstration of support for the millions of people affected by the Haiti devastation. As a fund-raising vehicle for the Haitian Earthquake Relief, film and television actor, Josh Duhamel, is mobilizing relief by pulling together a youth run, “Youth Run 4 Haiti.” Duhamel has joined forces with American Red Cross of Santa Monica to inspire and empower youth around the globe to unite and Run 4 Haiti.

Josh Duhamel has a long history of supporting the American Red Cross and has taken the Santa Monica chapter under his wing.

Aligned with his advocacy in adolescent diabetes and youth fitness, Josh is promoting a physical health and humanitarian movement. Leading the pact, along with his personal trainer, Don Brooks of Don-A-Matrix Training, he and thousands of youth will run on the beach of Santa Monica. Rallying together, this movement will make a powerful statement for youth across the world. It will be an expression of their connection to the pain and the suffering of Haiti victims. The reward for “Youth Run 4 Haiti” runners is priceless; the feeling of accomplishment among the youth will be tremendous. Being a part of history and this movement will be an experience like no other for the youth.

The Run

The emergency response two mile youth run will be on the Santa Monica Beach. Children of all ages are invited and encouraged to join in the run which will start north of the Pier, go up the beach for one mile and return to the start area for a total of two miles. Young children entering the run are asked to bring a parent along.

Runners will assemble adjacent to the "1550 Pacific Coast Highway" parking lot immediately north of the Pier at 9 a.m. where they will register for the run and pay a minimum $10 entrance fee which will entirely go to the American Red Cross for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Youth of all ages will be able to participate in the run.

American Red Cross Responds to Devastation

Information about Haitian relief efforts can also be found on the chapter web site. The American Red Cross has pledged to assist people and communities impacted by the earthquake in Haiti, and is prepared to take further action as local responders assess the situation.

There is widespread damage in Port au Prince and continuing aftershocks. The American Red Cross is deploying disaster management specialists, medical and other relief supplies to Haiti. Estimates are more than a million people may be homeless and the death toll could easily be in the tens of thousands. Injuries are too numerous to estimate... Support for the relief effort from the public is urgently needed.

The American Red Cross of Santa Monica, is a publicly supported, 501(C)(3) nonprofit corporation that provides health and safety education, youth services, blood services, CPR and first aid training, disaster awareness and disaster relief efforts.

THE BLACK EYED PEAS ANNOUNCE THE E.N.D WORLD TOUR 2010 | News

Three-time Grammy Award winning recording artist, The Black Eyed Peas today announced dates for their 100-date headline tour. Described as the ultimate Black Eyed Peas party experience, it also marks the first time that the group – will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie – is united for a North American headline tour since their 2006 Monkey Business world tour.

The North American leg of “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010,” produced by AEG Live, will kick off at Philips Arena in Atlanta on February 4, 2010, and conclude on April 11^th at GM Place in Vancouver. After a short break, the tour resumes in May with shows across Europe and the UK. Special ticket pre-sales for The Black Eyed Peas’ fan club members will be announced in the days ahead. National ticket on-sale dates begin December 12^th. Ticket prices will carry reasonable value and will be accessible to all fans.

In support of their multi-platinum #1 album, The E.N.D, featuring the chart record-breaking consecutive #1 singles, “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” – The Black Eyed Peas will replicate the party vibe of a hot dance club (complete with guest DJs including will.i.am ) in arenas across the country and around the world. “The E.N.D. World Tour” proves The Energy Never Dies with a feast for the senses for hundreds of thousands of fans. The tour will also be “green,” with a unique charitable component to be announced in the weeks ahead.

2009 has been a monumental year for The Black Eyed Peas, starting with the March release of “Boom Boom Pow” – not only the group’s first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 but one of the top dozen or so longest-charting singles in Hot 100 history, 12 weeks at the top. They bumped themselves out of #1 with their second single, “I Gotta Feeling” (released in June), surpassing their own success with a 14-week stay at #1 (only the fourth group in Hot 100 history to replace itself at #1). Their 26 consecutive week run at #1 has now become a new all-time benchmark in Hot 100 history (for groups or solo artists).

Meanwhile, flush with two massive hit singles, The E.N.D. (released June 2, 2009) debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the highest first-week sales of The Black Eyed Peas’ career.

The E.N.D., The Black Eyed Peas’ fifth studio album, is also their first original album since Monkey Business (released May 2005), certified RIAA triple platinum in the U.S., with worldwide sales of more than 9 million copies. Monkey Business generated Grammy Awards over two consecutive years, for “Don’t Phunk with My Heart” and “My Humps.” The Peas’ first Grammy Award came six years ago, for “Let’s Get It Started,” from their breakthrough album of 2003, Elephunk, which introduced Fergie into the lineup, and turned the group into international superstars with cumulative 25-times platinum sales in nearly a dozen countries around the world. In 2006 Fergie released her 6 million-selling solo debut The Dutchess and in 2007 Producer Of the Year Grammy nominee will.i.am released Songs About Girls. Of special note is will’s involvement in the 2008 Presidential campaign of Barack Obama, whose song, “Yes We Can” was written by will.i.am, as well as the two post-election anthems, “It’s A New Day” and “America’s Song.”

To date, The Black Eyed Peas have sold over 27 million combined units worldwide, and have logged over 300 headline tour dates in 29 countries with over 2.2 million tickets sold.

(Santa Monica, CA) THE BLACK EYED PEAS make history with the longest successive stay at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with 20 consecutive weeks at #1. “I Gotta Feeling” holds at #1 for an eighth week and “Boom Boom Pow” spent 12 weeks at #1. This is the longest consecutive stay for an artist in the Billboard chart’s 51 year history.
